This easy Thermomix Sausage Roll recipe is guaranteed to be a hit with your family and friends! These Sausage Rolls are filled with a delicious mix of veggies and sauces which gives them the perfect flavour. They take less than 15 minutes to put together using your Thermomix and you can be ready to enjoy them within an hour.

Why you will love this recipe:

    • This Easy Thermomix Sausage Roll recipe is really versatile and you can add or omit ingredients to suit your taste.
    • I like to add a good couple of spoonfuls of sweet chilli sauce to give these little treats an extra kick (that’s still mild enough for the kids) however feel free to leave it out or substitute with a little extra tomato chutney if you prefer.
    • You can freeze any leftover Sausage Rolls to enjoy another time.

How to Make Sausage Rolls in your Thermomix:

    1. Simply grate the carrot, zuchhini and onion.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
    3. Slice a sheet of pastry in half and brush one edge with egg.
    4. Add the mixture and roll to enclose.
    5. Brush with a little egg before popping into the oven to bake.

    Tips for Making Sausage Rolls:

    • You can add any type of grated vegetables to this recipe.
    • These sausage rolls are freezer friendly either before they are baked or once baked.
    • The time it takes to bake your sausage rolls will depend on the size you cut them – eg larger sausage rolls will take longer to cook through.
    • I like to lightly coat a non stick baking tray with oil before placing the sausage rolls onto it to bake.
    • Looking for the conventional cooking instructions? You can find them here.
How do you get a crispy bottom on Sausage Rolls?

It’s important to squeeze the liquid out of the meat mixture before adding it to your pastry as this will help to make the bases of the sausage rolls crispy.

How do you re-heat Sausage Rolls?

Pre-heat your oven to 190 degrees celsius (fan-forced) and place the sausage rolls onto a baking tray. Cook for 10 – 15 minutes or until cooked through. The time it takes to heat your sausage rolls will depend on whether they are frozen or chilled and also their size.

Great recipe I never used bacon, kids loved them. Thanks so much. I put icy pole sticks in mine so the little ones had handles and didn’t burn there fingers.. and less mess.

Hi Lauren. Do you cook these before you freeze them? I’m whipping some up tonight bit my mince and bacon have already been frozen and defrosted so I’m guessing I shouldn’t freeze then again unless it’s cooked. Can they be revived on another day if they’re cooked then frozen?

Hi, I cook these before freezing purely because I’m lazy and they only take 12 – 15 mins to heat up that way 🙂 When reheating, I cook them on around 190 degrees and if I don’t want them to get too brown I just pop some foil over the top.I hope that helps!
