    These FOUR ingredient Caramel Biscuits couldn’t be easier to make! These sweet and chewy biscuits are the perfect lunchbox snack or afternoon treat!

    They take less than 10 minutes to prepare and you will find both regular and Thermomix cooking instructions in the recipe card below.

    For a delicious sweet treat you really can’t go wrong with these Caramel Biscuits. They are a great biscuit for filling up your snack container and they are also freezer friendly, which makes them a perfect recipe to make in advance.

    You guys know that I’m all for recipes that don’t take much time or ingredients to put tother, and all you need is FOUR ingredients to make these yummy biscuits – and you probably already have them in your pantry!

    You will love:

    Four Ingredients – you will need just four basic ingredients to make these easy Caramel Biscuits.

    Quick to prepare – this recipe takes no time to put together, making it a great snack to put together when in a rush.

    Freezer friendly – place the biscuits into a freezer safe container and store for up to three months.

    Another great thing about this recipe is that you can make these biscuits using just one saucepan, you just want to make sure you choose one which is big enough to hold all of your ingredients. You will get around 40 biscuits from this recipe, however you can also halve it if you wish – or pop any leftovers biscuits into the freezer to enjoy another time.

    Caramel Biscuit Ingredients:

    Self raising flour

    Butter

    Golden Syrup

    Brown Sugar

    Step by Step Instructions

    Please note you will find both the full regular and Thermomix cooking methods in the recipe card below.

    Step 1. Place the butter, golden syrup and brown sugar into a saucepan or Thermomix and cook until golden brown.

    Step 2. Add the self-raising flour and mix to combine.

    Step 3. Using a teaspoon, scoop up the mixture and roll into balls before placing onto a baking tray.

    Step 4. Lightly press down on top of each Caramel Biscuit before baking until golden.

    Step 5. Allow the biscuits to cool on the baking trays for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

    Please note these biscuits are best stored in an airtight container and they will soften after a day or two.

    This recipe will give you approximately 40 biscuits, you will need to bake them in multiple batches.

    These biscuits are also freezer friendly.

    Four Ingredient Caramel Biscuits

    All you need is FOUR INGREDIENTS to make these easy Caramel Biscuits! They are freezer friendly and both regular and Thermomix instructions included.

    Equipment

    • 2 x Baking Trays

    Ingredients
      

    • 125 grams butter
    • ⅔ cup golden syrup 230 grams
    • ⅔ cup brown sugar 120 grams
    • 3 cups self raising flour 450 grams

    Instructions
     

    • Line 2 oven trays with baking paper and set aside until needed. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced).
    • Place the butter, golden syrup and brown sugar into a large saucepan ( you want it to be big enough to fit the flour in as well) and cook over a medium/low heat for 4 – 5 minutes or until the ingredients have melted and the mixture is a lovely golden brown colour. Remove the saucepan from the stove and let it cool for 5 minutes.
    • Add the self raising flour and mix well until a soft dough forms.
    • Place the mixture into the fridge for 15 minutes to chill.
    • Use a teaspoon to scoop up the mixture and gently roll into a balls.
    • Place onto your prepared trays and flatten slightly with the back of a fork.
    • Bake for 10 – 12 minutes before removing from the oven. Let the biscuits cool on the oven trays for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

    Thermomix Instructions

    • Line 2 oven trays with baking paper and set aside until needed. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced).
    • Place the butter (which has been cut into 3cm pieces), golden syrup and brown sugar into your Thermomix bowl. Cook for 4 minutes, 80 degrees, speed 2.
    • Scrape down the sides of your Thermomix bowl and add the self raising flour. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 4.
    • Scrape down the sides of your Thermomix bowl and select the 'kneading' function. Mix for 30 seconds or until a soft dough has formed.
    • Place your Thermomix bowl into the fridge for 15 minutes to chill the dough.
    • Use a teaspoon to scoop up the mixture and gently roll into a balls.
    • Place onto your prepared trays and flatten slightly with the back of a fork.
    • Bake for 10 – 12 minutes before removing from the oven. Let the biscuits cool on the oven trays for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

      I totally agree with one of the other reviewers, so easy to make but far too sweet. I think it is the golden syrup. I often make ginger nuts but use much less syrup. Luv the concept so will try to adapt it.

      I’m so confused! I made these, they smelt amazing but the biscuits themselves taste almost fizzy!
      Not sure what it is but definitely odd
