This One Bowl Banana and Strawberry Bread couldn’t be easier to make! Both regular and Thermomix instructions are included.
Our entire household is loving in season strawberries and bananas at the moment (eating more than a kilogram of each a week!) so it makes sense to add combine them!
To do this, I made my favourite Banana Bread recipe and simply added chopped strawberries to it at the end – how simple is that?
This recipe is also great way to use up any bananas and strawberries which are starting to look a little sad, and you can also use frozen fruit too.
The three of us (messily) put this recipe together as thanks to containing no hot ingredients and only needing one bowl (or a Thermomix) it’s really child friendly.
When it comes to adding the strawberries, you can use as many or little as you like. We also use an entire punnet of strawberries which makes this Banana and Strawberry Loaf super moist.
Both of the boys love this ‘strawberry cake’ and I’ve been popping half a slice into Mr 4’s kindy lunch box for a treat each day. This recipe is also freezer friendly and I regularly pop a few slices into the freezer for an easy lunch box treat.
Tips for Making my One Bowl Banana and Strawberry Bread :
- You will need two large over ripe bananas for this recipe – approximately 150 grams of banana.
- You can also use vegetable oil or melted butter instead of coconut oil
- If your bananas are on the small side, you can use three of them.
- Either fresh or frozen strawberries can be used for this recipe.
- Once baked, this Banana and Strawberry Loaf is best stored in an airtight container in the pantry. If you live in a warm and humid climate (eg Brisbane in summer) you might want to keep it in the fridge and bring to room temperature to enjoy.
- This recipe is also freezer friendly.

Banana Bread is my arch nemesis, its the one thing in my cooking acumen I can NOT cook for some reason it turns out terrible every time. I have NO idea why, but it never seems to work.
I’m hoping this one bowl version could be a good place to start.
