How to Make Top Deck Slice:

- Roughly chop the chocolate into small pieces.
- Add the dry ingredients to a large bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the chocolate pieces and the sweetened condensed milk and stir.
- Transfer to baking dish and bake until just cooked through when tested with a skewer.
Tips for Making Top Deck Chocolate Slice
- Ensure you leave baking paper hanging over the sides of your baking tin to help you remove this slice once it is baked.
- The mixture WILL be very sticky when it comes time to add to the baking tin, this is normal. I find it easier to spread/smooth when I use two spoons.
- If you can use smaller blocks of Top Deck Chocolate for this recipe.
- This slice can also be iced with a simple chocolate icing.
- Store this slice in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 4 days.
- This slice is not freezer friendly.

Top Deck Chocolate Slice
This Top Deck Chocolate Slice Recipe is super simple to make and is a great treat or dessert. Both regular and Thermomix instructions included
Equipment
- 1 x 20cm square cake tin
- baking paper
Ingredients
- 200 grams Top Deck Chocolate
- 1 cup self raising flour 150 grams
- ½ cup brown sugar 90 grams
- ½ cup desiccated coconut 45 grams
- 2 tablespoon cocoa
- 390 grams sweetened condensed milk 1 tin.
Instructions
- Line a 20cm square cake tin with baking paper. Make sure you leave baking paper hanging over the sides to help you remove the slice once it has cooked. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced).
- Chop the Top Deck chocolate into small pieces and set aside until needed.
- Place the self-raising flour, brown sugar, desiccated coconut and cocoa into a large bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the condensed milk and chopped Top Deck chocolate pieces and stir well to combine – your mixture will be sticky, so don't worry!
- Pour the slice mixture into your prepared baking tin and use two spoons to help spread it out.
- Place the baking tin into the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes or until just cooked through when tested with a skewer.
Thermomix Instructions
- Line a 20cm square cake tin with baking paper. Make sure you leave baking paper hanging over the sides to help you remove the slice once it has cooked. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced).
- Break the White Chocolate into squares and set aside until needed.
- Place the self raising flour, brown sugar, cocoa, coconut and condensed milk into your Thermomix bowl and mix for 10 seconds, speed 4 REVERSE. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the white chocolate pieces and mix for a further 10 seconds, speed 4, REVERSE. If your mixture hasn't quite combined, mix for a further 5 seconds.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared tin (don't worry, it will be VERY sticky!) and use two spoons to spread the mixture across the baking dish.
- Place the slice into the oven and cook for 20 minutes. Allow the slice to cool completely before cutting into small pieces.
