Love Banana Bread? Well this Double Chocolate Banana Bread recipe is for you!

Double Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe with both regular and Thermomix instructions included.

This recipe is a combination of my favourite Chocolate Cake and Banana Bread recipes.  The result is a fudgey, chocolatey and soft loaf that will be a hit with everyone who tries it.

    Double Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe

We’ve made this recipe quite a few times over the past few months, and if you have slightly more/less than 150 grams of banana it will still turn out well. Just be mindful of not adding too much bananas, as your loaf will be very dense and soft if you do.  You can also use either milk or dark chocolate chips for this recipe. The boys all prefer it with milk chocolate chips, but I find the dark chocolate chips to be the best.

If your kids are little savages like mine, you may want to freeze half of this recipe to help it last longer than a day 😉 Alternatively, it is best stored in an airtight container in your pantry and eaten within 4 – 5 days. Good luck on it lasting that long though!

Tips for Making this Double Chocolate Banana Bread Recipe:

    • You will need approximately 150 grams of bananas for this recipe. If your bananas are small, you may need to use 3.
    • Also, if you don’t quite have enough bananas (eg 100 grams) this is also ok.
    • You can use either milk or dark chocolate chips for this recipe.
    • If you don’t have coconut oil, you can use a light oil in its place – eg canola oil.
    • This recipe is freezer friendly.

Thank you! This recipe is always a winner in our house and even better the second day when it’s even more fudgy. I only bake for 30-35mins, otherwise the top seems to burn in my oven. Thanks for developing such delicious recipes – your site is always a go to for me when looking for something yummy that the kids will eat.
