These Baked Sweet Chilli Chicken Balls make a great meal or snack for the whole family!

Baked Sweet Chilli Chicken Balls Recipe. Both regular and Thermomix instructions included.

This Baked Sweet Chilli Chicken Balls recipe is a variation of my popular Baked Chicken, Zucchini and Cheese Balls recipe. In this version, I’ve cut down on the amount of cheese, added some extra vegetables and added a good splash of sweet chilli sauce to help gives these yummy little morsels an extra kick.

The result is tasty chicken meatballs which can be enjoyed as a snack, are great for lunchboxes (just pop them into a thermos) and also make an easy family meal when served alongside some extra veggies, rice or even homemade chips.

Tips for Making these Baked Sweet Chilli Chicken Balls

    • When putting this recipe  together using a Thermomix, you can use a chicken breast instead of chicken mince. Simply cut the chicken into 4cm pieces and mix on speed 5 for 10 seconds, or until minced.
    • You can add extra sweet chilli sauce to this recipe if you would like more of a ‘kick’. Alternatively if you are making this recipe for young children, you can also reduce the amount of sweet chilli sauce that is used.
    • To serve, add some steamed veggies and rice or you can enjoy with a salad.
    • These Chicken Balls are also a great finger food for your next party.
    • This recipe is freezer friendly.

You can find more easy and family friendly recipes in my ‘Family Dinners Made Easy’ book – also available in a Thermomix edition.

    Ingredients

    • 500 grams chicken mince
    • ½ cup zucchini grated
    • ½ cup carrot grated
    • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
    • ¼ cup parmesan cheese finely grated
    • 2 cloves garlic crushed
    • ½ tablespoon onion flakes
    • 2 & ½ tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
    • Pinch of salt and pepper

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 220 degrees celsius (fan-forced) and lightly grease a non stick baking tray.
    • Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl and mix well to combine.
    • Use a tablespoon to scoop up the chicken mixture and shape into balls. If you find the mixture is still a little ‘wet’ you can add some more breadcrumbs to help it ‘stick’ together and shape into balls.
    • Place the chicken balls onto your prepared baking tray and cook for 16 - 18 minutes or until they begin to turn golden and are cooked through when tested.
