Are you looking for a slice recipe you can make in no time at all? Well this quick Peanut Butter Slice recipe is for you!
This slice has a very similar consistency to my Anzac Slice recipe, and our six year old actually calls it ‘Peanut Butter Anzac Slice! It’s a filling slice thanks to the addition of rolled oats, and a perfect after school snack.
You can use either smooth or crunchy peanut butter for this recipe (I used smooth in the slice pictured) and it’s also freezer friendly, which makes it a great slice to make in advance – you can find more freezer friendly snack ideas here. As there is no melting or hot ingredients involved, this is a good recipe to make with the kids.
Tips for Making this Easy Peanut Butter Slice Include:
- You can use either smooth or crunchy peanut butter for this recipe.
- This slice is freezer friendly, cut into pieces before freezing for an easy snack.
- You can ice this slice with melted chocolate and even sprinkle some chopped peanut pieces over the top – however if freezing, do this once the slice has defrosted.
- This slice is best stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.

Quick Peanut Butter Slice Recipe
This Peanut Butter Slice recipe takes less than one hour to make and bake, it's freezer friendly and both regular and Thermomix instructions are included.
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ⅔ cup milk
Instructions
- Line an 18 x 28cm slice tin with baking paper and preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Place the peanut butter and vanilla extract into a bowl and mix well to combine.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to your prepared slice tin and smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
- Allow the slice to cool completely in the tin before cutting into slices.
Notes
This recipe is best stored in an airtight container in a cool place.
You can freeze this recipe.

Quick Thermomix Peanut Butter Slice Recipe
This Peanut Butter Slice recipe takes less than one hour to make and bake, it's freezer friendly and both regular and Thermomix instructions are included.

Ingredients
- 275 grams peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 90 grams brown sugar
- 150 grams self raising flour
- 110 grams rolled oats
- 180 grams milk
Instructions
- Line an 18 x 28cm slice tin with baking paper and preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Place the peanut butter and vanilla extract into your Thermomix bowl and mix for 10 seconds, speed 6 to combine.
- Scrap down the sides of your Thermomix bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 5, Reverse. Scrape down the sides of your Thermomix bowl and mix again for 10 seconds, speed 5 on reverse.
- Transfer the mixture to your prepared slice tin and smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
- Allow the slice to cool completely in the tin before cutting into slices.
