Thermomix instructions
Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced) and line an 18 x 28cm baking dish with baking paper. Set aside until needed.
Place the dried apricots into the Thermomix bowl and chop for 1 second spurts using the turbo function until desired size is achieved. Set aside until needed.
Without washing the bowl, add the butter and cook for 3 minutes, 60 degrees, speed 2 or until melted.
Add the crushed biscuits and mix for 12 seconds, speed 3 to combine.
Follow instructions as above from step 4.
- This slice is very versatile. You can substitute the apricots for any other type of dried fruits.
- The almonds can be substituted with other nuts or seeds.
- I used Marie Biscuits for the base however you can use any other type of plain sweet biscuits.
- Be careful to not overcook the slice, the base will harden and the top will start to burn if left in the oven for too long.
- This slice is best stored in an airtight container in a cool dark position. If in a warmer climate, you can store in the fridge and allow the slice to return to room temperature before consuming.
- This recipe is not freezer friendly.
