- ½ cup wheat germ 20 grams
- 1 cup rolled oats 110 grams
- ½ cup wholemeal flour 75 grams
- ½ cup cranberries 70 grams
- ½ cup sultanas 70 grams
- ½ cup sunflower seeds 40 grams
- ½ cup pepitas 40 grams
- ¼ cup black chia seeds 40 grams
- ¼ cup desiccated coconut 20 grams
- 125 grams butter
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees celsius and line a slice tin with baking paper - making sure to leave paper hanging over the sides.
Place all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl and stir to combine.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup and stir to combine.
Pour the melted ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients, along with the eggs and stir well.
Tip the mixture into your prepared slice tray and press firmly with the back of a metal spoon to flatten the surface.
Place the slice into the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the slice to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once completely cooled, slice.
Thermomix Instructions
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees celsius and line a slice tin with baking paper - making sure to leave paper hanging over the sides.
Place the butter and golden syrup into your Thermomix bowl and cook for 3 minutes 60 degrees, speed 2 to melt.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix for 10 seconds, speed 4 to combine. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix for a further 10 seconds, speed 4 REVERSE.
Tip the mixture into your prepared slice tray and press firmly with the back of a metal spoon to flatten the surface.
Place the slice into the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow the slice to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before carefully transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once completely cooled, slice.
You can substitute the seeds and dried fruits in this recipe based on your preferences.
