Broccoli and Cheese Balls Recipe
These easy Broccoli and Cheese Balls make a great snack, easy meal or lunch box treat for the kids! Both regular and Thermomix instructions included.

- 2 heads of broccoli florets approximately 300 grams
- 1 cup tasty cheese grated - 100 grams
- ½ cup mozarella cheese grated - 50 grams
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes
- pinch of salt
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs 90 grams
- 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Remove the broccoli florets from the stalk and place into a food processor. Pulse 3 - 4 times or until finely grated.
Transfer the grated broccoli to a large bowl and add the grated tasty and mozzarella cheese, as well as the bread crumbs crushed garlic, salt and onion flakes. Stir well to combine.
Break the eggs into a small bowl and whisk to combine. Add the whisked eggs to the broccoli and cheese mixture and stir well to combine. Place the bowl into the fridge to chill for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, pre-heat your oven to 210 degrees (fan forced) and line a tray with baking paper.
Scoop the mixture up with a dessert spoon and shape into balls. Repeat until you have used all of the mixture.
Place the olive oil into a small container and using a pastry brush, gently brush the surface of the balls to lightly coat.
Place the tray into your pre-heated oven and cook for 10 minutes. Carefully remove and turn the balls over and cook for a further 10 minutes or until golden.
Thermomix Instructions
Place the tasty cheese, mozzarella, onion flakes and garlic clove into your Thermomix bowl and mix for 10 seconds, speed 9. Set aside.
Without washing the bowl, add the broccoli florets and mix for 7 seconds, speed 6 to grate.
Add the cheese mixture you prepared earlier along with the breadcrumbs, eggs and salt and mix for 10 seconds, speed 6 on reverse to combine. Place your Thermomix bowl into the fridge to chill for 15 minutes.

This recipe is freezer friendly.
You can omit the mozzarella cheese and use parmesan instead if you prefer.
