Yikes, the middle of the year is nearly upon us now!
May was a full month for us – most months are though if I’m to be honest! Here is how we spent May……
We started the month off participating in the Mater Little Miracles 5ks. It’s a cause close to our hearts, without the Mater Mothers Hospital, our two little boys would not be with us xx
The following weekend I backed it up and participated in The Mothers Day Classic – my first ever run!! Thankfully my running buddies (including the lovely Chelsea from Moments a Day) helped me get through the 4.5km!
We’ve enjoyed a lot of Family Time this month
And we also celebrated the first birthday of our Baby Boy x
Now… Time to take stock.
Making : Plans for the week. Does anyone else feel like the days fill up too quickly?
Cooking : Nothing today! Having a little break after the cooking and baking storm leading up to Baby Boy’s birthday party yesterday.
Drinking : Orange Juice.
Reading: The Book Thief. Hoping to have it finished in time for book club this week.
Wanting: Time. More time please.
Looking: at a stray balloon bouncing along the lawn.
Playing: Back memories of time spent with our family over the past week.
Deciding: What leftovers I am going to have for lunch.
Wishing: I could curl up on the couch and have a big sleep.
Enjoying: Some quiet time alone.
Waiting: For Baby Boy to wake up.
Liking: My clear work space.
Wondering: How long it take to become cluttered again.
Loving: The slightly cooler weather. Winter where are you?
Pondering: If the washing will be dry…. it’s deep thoughts here today!
Considering: Taking the boys for a walk to the park later today.
Watching: A bird cautiously investigate the balloon on the lawn.
Hoping: The boys wake up in good spirits
Marvelling: That a year ago today, I was discharged from hospital after having Baby Boy.
Needing: To feel more organised.
Smelling: The leftover sausage rolls I am heating up in the oven for my lunch. Naughty I know!
Wearing: Still in 3/4 pants (seriously where are you Winter?) but I at least have a long sleeve top on.
Following: A crochet pattern. My first time!
Noticing: The small hand prints on the window.
Knowing: I’m not going to clean them off today.
Thinking: Of all the things I need to do while the boys are asleep.
Feeling: Overwhelmed, yet hopeful.
Admiring: The gorgeous Roses in our garden.
Sorting: Out the washing. My least favourite thing to do.
Buying: Petrol. I always leave it until the light comes on….
Getting: Warm, the sun has now peeked out from behind the clouds.
Bookmarking: The new SANDS Australia Blog (Miscarriage, Stillbirth and Newborn Death Support) and feeling honoured to be a contributor.
Disliking: Narrow minded individuals.
Opening: My birthday presents soon!
Giggling: At the photos of our boys and their cousin playing together. Crazy kids!
Feeling: Tired, but happy.
